Unseen Fortune and the Secret of Chubby Cheeks

 _On 10 AUG 2025.

I’ve got a friend who works part-time at an RP venue—her name’s Unseen Fortune (未见财, which literally means “No Gold in Sight”). One time, a bunch of us staff sat in a row and asked visiting guests to guess our clans: were we Seekers of the Sun, or Keepers of the Moon? Since I was the smallest one there, the guest assumed I didn’t spend much time in the sun and guessed I was a Keeper of the Moon. But the truth was actually the opposite.

It reminded me of when I sat next to my mentor before—everyone always commented on how good-looking my mentor was. Compared to others, I really am just too skinny.

So I decided to try a bottle of Fantasia. First, I adjusted my facial contours. Then I thickened my tail a bit. Just those two changes.

Afterwards, I went around asking people, “Notice anything different about me?” Most of them couldn’t tell. The face tweaks were too subtle, my hairstyle covered a lot, and nobody even noticed the tail behind me.

Next to Unseen Fortune, who’s got this healthy, naturally chubby-cheeked face, I still looked too thin. But Enatsu told me I’d grown, at least. I’m still curious though—how did Unseen Fortune end up with such a perfectly round, healthy-looking face?

The Rising 2025

This was my very first time taking part in the event called the Rising. At first, I thought it was just to celebrate some kind of achievement… but it turned out to be a remembrance of those who lost their lives during the Calamity.

The moon slowly grew into a full circle, almost like the images of the past filling my mind as I read through old records and let the memories take shape.

In the plaza and at the event grounds, I could hear the voice of Hydaelyn herself. (Or at least, I think it was her song—but didn’t she already depart from this world?)

For those who gave their lives so we could live better, the best thing we can do is to carry on with smiles.

When I returned to Limsa Lominsa, I found the streets decorated with glowing blue crystals. Every time, I almost mistook them for new aetherytes points. Later that evening, I was chatting with Enatsu, and she mentioned that lots of beautiful outfits are coming in future updates. I’ve decided to save up my event tokens and wait for the next round of PvP rewards.

<The fireworks from the memorial event lit up the night sky. >
<Enatsu and I watched the fireworks together while chatting about the designs of the new outfits in the future Patch.>
<Confusion: can you tell which one’s actually the aetheryte?>

A Tour of the Occult Crescent

 _On 17 AUG 2025

My mentor’s been grinding on the newly discovered the Occult Crescent (the new map of a island) for days. She and her friends shared the island’s map to help everyone find the Occult Record, loot treasure chests, and other useful strategies.

Right now, I’ve been spending all my free time practising the five melee jobs (MNK, DRG, SAM, RPR, NIN), so I haven’t set foot on the island yet. But my mentor offered to take me there, and we agreed to go together on Sunday.

On Sunday, I was watching a video about Monk skills, but the whole thing about different stances affecting which moves to use next got so confusing that I dozed off. When I woke up, my mentor was already there, waiting for me. So we set off for the Crescent together.

First, we touched those Aethernet crystals to teleport closer to a FATE spot. My mentor has a big white two-seater chocobo mount. Even though you can’t fly here, the scenery is nice—lush vegetation and ruins of ancient structures.

Along the way, we joined any FATEs that popped up. She helped me progress through the quests and unlock some basic features, then told me the rest was just running around and farming.

At one point, a FATE spawned, but before I could even get there, other players had already wiped it out. You’ll never make it to a FATE that’s far away. That’s why my mentor said to save up the Ancient Allagan coins you earn here and prioritise buying the movement speed **boost first.

Since I’d heard about the first wave of adventurers who went to the island—most of them got wrecked—I went in as a Warrior for survivability. The FATEs and CEs (Critical Engagement, which is a new mechanic for me) require quick reactions and some practice.

To get to certain teleport points, you have to return to the base camp’s crystal first, then warp to the right spot. That’s why, if you’re just standing around the base camp, you’ll suddenly see a huge crowd of players pop in (returning from the field). Before their feet even touch the ground, they’re already reaching for the crystal—then poof, gone again (off to another location).

THE EORZEAN_002_LEISURE_Tales of the White Night

Tales of  the White Night

02, Ward_30, The Mist,

Server: LongChaoShenDian

"A Secluded Abandoned Botanical Garden by the Sea, Where Passing Cats Steal Away to Dream of Starry Skies." If you come across a doorplate bearing these words, you’ve arrived at the entrance to her courtyard. Step inside and find a place to sit for a while—it will undoubtedly be a worthwhile experience.

Located in the elevated northwestern part of the Mist, the large house named Tales of the White Night has been gradually curating the natural greenery of Eorzea since the summer of 2023 (7AE 10). It is a serene and soothing retreat.

Upon entering, if it is daytime in Eorzea, you’ll find yourself in a lush, verdant space. Above, a few windows appear to float within this natural world, their incoming light blending with the glow of lower lamps to create an ambience that welcomes you, whether it be day or night.

To the right of the entrance is a cosy seating area for two, while three elevated couches in the main hall allow you to lounge facing the backrest. If you prefer a more private retreat, follow the passage to the left of the entrance to reach several secluded rooms. Stepping through a door transports you to distinct spaces, each with its unique atmosphere. One of them is a charming Christmas cabin—where you can stand by a snow-dusted windowsill, a warm cup of coffee in hand, gazing down at the quiet, silver-lined alley below.

Should you meet the owner, a cup of Chamomile Tea or Espresso con Panna might be offered to you, with a gentle reminder: "Rest well." Here, you’re free to settle into any comfortable spot and take a peaceful respite.

For those Warrior of Light in Eorzea who wish to temporarily escape their current worries, lying with their face against the back of the couch may not solve the problem, but it certainly helps in pulling themselves together. That's right—preparing for the next journey ahead.

Not every corner is dominated by shades of green—some spots here have their own distinct colors. That’s where Tales of the White Night’s design truly shines.

The curator and owner, Swan, once ran a café in the Black Shroud. Drawing from a refined sense of spatial design and an observant appreciation of the passage of time, they gradually shaped this haven where sunlight filters through dense foliage to grace every visitor. Swan sought to create an environment where adventurers, amidst their busy lives, could find a quiet place to sit and reflect.

The interior is perpetually accompanied by the melody of Neath Dark Waters. With each deep, resonant piano note, your heart seems to merge into the space, becoming a part of it.

Swan has imbued this place with new meaning: “This house exists as an objective reality, recording the passage of time between day and night. Those who come here carry all manner of emotions, memories, perceptions, and thoughts—even if shared with others, there will always be parts of themselves they may or may not realise. When no guests are present, it continues to document the plants, the sunlight, and the atmosphere left unfelt.”

Most who visit form their own unique impressions. Some come seeking quiet, using the space to reconnect with their emotions. Others settle in with a few friends, chatting softly so as not to disturb.

Swan is deeply grateful to every guest who takes the time to visit here. Originally intended as a personal sanctuary, the act of sharing has allowed others to experience the subtle, soul-stirring transformations this botanical haven inspires.

If you’re looking for a place to idle away some time, as an authority on Eorzean experiences, I highly recommend lingering here. Observe the play of light and shadow on leaves, teacups, and book covers—and perhaps, within yourself, a quiet metamorphosis.

Across the World, Within the Heart and Being Remembered

On 04 Aug 2025

Many may not fully grasp how they exist in the hearts of others. I, too, was once among them.

Since the introduction of the cross-data centre travel feature, countless adventurers have flocked to bustling servers. Stories abound of long-lost comrades reuniting in this world—mentors embracing their former novices, now mentors themselves, who journey across servers to visit those who once guided them. Each reunion is a scene woven with warmth and emotion.

Yet, this very freedom to traverse between worlds has also meant that some meet less frequently than before. At times, it almost feels as though they've forgotten one another. I, too, once believed this to be true.

But reality tells a different story.

When you return home after a long shift at the RP venue, ready to sleep for the evening, only to find a plate of still-warm dishes left for you…

When you're about to log off, and someone rushes over just to gift you a freshly unearthed garment from their treasure hunt…

That's when you realise—in their hearts, you are the one they worry about, wondering, "Have you been eating well?" You are the one they think of the moment joy finds them, eager to share their happiness with you.

Thank you… for walking this path alongside me. Even if we reside on different servers, even if our time together is fleeting, know that in our hearts, we carry each other always.

THE EORZEAN issue.001: RP Scene - SweatHeart

 SweatHeart

33, Ward_21, The Lavender Beds

Server: BaiJinHuanXiang.

Upon entering, you're greeted by enthusiastic staff behind the counter, eager to introduce the services on offer. Flipping through the guestbook on the bar, you’ll find heartfelt notes from past visitors, each a small testament to their experiences.

The shop specialises in a light or no RP atmosphere, gathering most of Eorzea's popular minigames under one roof—all in the hope that every guest leaves more relaxed and happy than when they arrived. "Our priority is the customer’s experience," says CheYing, who handles the shop's promotions.

CheYing also oversees staff recruitment. When asked what qualities he values most, he doesn't hesitate: "Do they have Creativity? Do they have Patience?" Creative individuals bring energy and enthusiasm to the SweatHeart, he explains, while those who remain patience ensure those ideas are realised steadily, without haste.

Not long ago, on a sweltering summer day along the shores of Costa del Sol, SweatHeart—under the leadership of ZERO, its visionary proprietor—joined forces with RP establishments from across four servers to host a dazzling open-air performance on the MengYu server. Lasting three exhilarating hours, the event featured a rotating cast of dance troupes, each bringing their own flair to the sun-drenched stage. The collaboration not only showcased SweatHeart’s growing influence in Eorzea's social scene but also hinted at a broader ambition: to weave together communities through ever more vibrant, large-scale spectacles. This was no mere gathering—it was a statement, a promise of richer, more immersive experiences yet to come for every citizen of Eorzea.

Capping My Melee Jobs and Setting Out for New Adventures

_On 06 SEP 2025 After days of grinding nonstop, I finally got all my melee jobs up to the current level cap—level 100. To save on inventory...
