My House Broke Me (And Gravity)

I've been totally obsessed with housing decor this whole week. Now that all my crafting and gathering jobs are maxed out at their current levels, I can gather and craft most of the furniture myself.

Shoutout to Enatsu for hooking me up with some base structures and a ton of materials and furnishings—couldn’t have started without that!

But getting started means learning all these special housing tricks—like combining default furniture pieces to create new designs, or even placing items where they're not supposed to go. So yeah, I’ve been practicing all sorts of stuff: floating furniture mid-air, cabinets sunk halfway into the floor… you name it.

I’ve run countless dungeons, but believe it or not, my own little house is the first place that’s ever made me dizzy.

A Friendship Arc

I just want to give a huge shoutout to Nuomituan and Enatsu for all their help over the past days! They hooked me up with tons of leveling mats and even some super useful raid strats. To thank them, I grabbed two sets of Leisurewear from the Online Store and sent them the codes via Moogle Mail. Hope they liked them!

But then—plot twist—the next day, I got Moogle Mail back from both of them with their gift codes inside! They said thanks and even got me some new glam: Nuomituan sent me the Housemaid’s Attire, and Enatsu gave me the Educand’s Attire (Skirt). She even wrote, “Good luck with your studies in Old Sharlayan!”

So, cue the wholesome moment the next day: We all ran into each other outside Nuomituan’s house—they were wearing the Leisurewear I gave them, and I was dressed up in their gifts. Too cute!

From Chaos to Captain: My Wild Ride to Storm Captain

<I am now the highest-ranked officer in The Maelstrom: Storm Captain.>

So, after leading a squad of three members from the Maelstrom through five dungeon runs, today was finally the day I got promoted. I officially got the rank of Storm Captain!

But man, those last two runs were rough. I was playing as a Paladin, and our healer went down first. After that, there was no one to rez them, and I didn’t have any Phoenix Downs on me. We had to bail out of the dungeon and try a different one. Then, guess what? The same thing happened again!

In the end, I had to basically solo-heal the party to get us through. It was a mess, but we made it work.

Paladinway

Tonight, I queued up for the daily duty roulette as a Pictomancer and ended up in the final boss of patch 6.0, "The Endsinger." I've only fought her once before when I pass through the main process of the journey, so I wasn't super familiar with the mechanics. I managed to keep up by following the group and dodging the attacks, but then the boss unleashed her ultimate move, and we all wiped.

Someone in the group called out the Paladin, asking why he doesn't use the LB (Limit Break) to tank the boss's big attack. Turns out, the Paladin had no idea that was a thing. Apparently, in this fight, you have to use the Tank LB to survive that move. So we gave it another shot, and this time, we cleared it without any issues.

It got me thinking though—if I were the Paladin in the future, how would I even know to do that in future runs? Suddenly, I felt like being the Tank comes with a ton of pressure. Like, you’re the one everyone’s counting on to lead the way, and if you mess up, it’s a wipe. Big respect for all the Tanks out there!

No More Twin Adder

Tonight, I went to the frontlines with Nuomituan again, and we got assigned to The Immortal Flames. Man, the whole battle felt super tough. At one point, when I turned to retreat, I got ambushed by the Maelstrom out of nowhere.

I thought if I just hid behind Nuomituan, no one would spot me. Guess I was wrong!
In the past, I always hid behind her during battles, but this time, I decided to gather my courage and rush to the front to protect Nuomituan... (though I got taken down pretty fast by the Twin Adder again).

Enatsu’s Heartwarming Gesture: Full Crafting and Gathering Gear Delivered in Person!

I found four Moogle Delivery letters waiting for me—all filled with main-hand and secondary tools for every crafting job, all handmade by Enatsu. Each one even had her name engraved on it. I was really touched.

I can only imagine how much time and effort it took to gather all the materials and craft them.

Later in the evening, I ran into Enatsu at the commercial strip in Limsa Lominsa. Since my Moogle mailbox was full and she couldn’t send me anything else, she handed me a full set of crafting and gathering gear and accessories in person. She said it was an early gift to celebrate my graduation! How awesome is that?

Enatsu told me that Nuomituan also helped collect some of the materials. I’m so grateful to both of them!

Before resting for the night, I tried making some rarefied staff to exchange for the orange scrips—and I actually pulled it off! It suddenly feels like there's so much hope in life.

Hasawi and a Dog without a Name

In my daily life in Eorzea, I’ve got two little buddies hanging out with me. One’s my pup — I can’t give him a name, though. The other’s my trusty chocobo, Hasawi. We’re just chilling, soaking up the sun, surrounded by forests and blooming flowers. I’m busy crafting some stuff, and they’re just there, keeping me company, watching over me. It’s pretty peaceful.

The Master of Land

Finally, I got all three gathering classes to max level in the current patch 7.1. Super stoked! Just wanted to mark this moment. Feels like just yesterday I was starting out with the guild quests, gathering in the Diadem in Ishgard, and heading out to sea for fishing. So many days and nights spent grinding, but it’s all worth it now!

A Love Forged in The Studium

At the faculty of Anthropology, based on The Studium of the Old Sharlayan, the whole journey between the researcher and the professor who was mentoring them wasn’t always smooth sailing. But, hey, in the end, they got together, and I was so happy for them!

They even had their wedding right there at the university. And get this—staff from other faculties showed up to bless their relationship too. So touching.

My help.

Keep your Distance from Samurai!

So today, Nuomituan and I were planning to hit up The Frontline. Enatsu wasn’t joining, but she went out of his way to give me some special coaching. We happened to be at the Wolves’ Den Pier, and there were two players practising against each other. One is a Samurai and the other is a Scholar. Enatsu told me, “If you see a Samurai charging at you, make sure to get as far away as possible.”

[Enatsu coached me on how to play PvP from the edge of the training grounds.]_09 MAR 2025

Turns out, I misunderstood something the other day. Every time you go into The Frontline, you’re not always with the Maelstrom. Like tonight, Nuomituan and I were on the Immortal Flames’ side. The PvP today was kinda confusing—it felt like we were all just waiting on some high platform trying to capture something. But in the end, most of us ended up face-down on the bridge.

I looked up some guides afterwards, and apparently, if I get knocked out, it gives points to the enemy team.

I really don’t wanna be feeding them points!

My First Frontline Fiasco: Clueless but Victorious!

So, I finally mustered up the courage to step into the PvP Frontline, all because of a pair of awesome sneakers. Those sneaky designers totally lured me in with their cool glamour!

"Frontline is a PvP challenge which engages three teams of adventurers, each team representing one of the three Grand Companies. Teams consist of up to 24 players in an alliance, allowing for a grand total of 72 players in a single battle."__from The Guide Book

Anyway, I followed some tips I gathered and headed to the place where you exchange rewards in the PvP zone. Just as I got there, I spotted another player hanging around. I decided to ask him how to sign up and earn those points needed for exchanges. He was super patient and walked me through how to check the schedule and join the matches. Turns out, there’s actually an entrance in Duty Roulette for this! Who knew?

But, I gotta say, the players in The Frontline are absolutely insane! A whole mob just rushed at me, and I kept going through this cycle of lying down and getting back up. But, in the end, after like 15 minutes of me being completely clueless about what was going on, our Maelstrom actually won! I even got 1,000 Trophy Crystals out of it. So happy!

Days Gone

My little island is getting pretty lively. After I leveled it up, Emmanellain and Sicard showed up to visit me. Seeing those faces again, people I’d crossed paths with during my adventures, it really hit me—like, wow, they still remember me. That moment? Pure excitement.

I took them on a tour around the island, showing off all the gorgeous spots, and we even played some volleyball on the beach. But, of course, they had to leave eventually. And honestly? It left me feeling kinda down.

It’s like those friends you used to hang out with every day as a kid, but as you grow up, you just drift apart. It’s not like there’s any bad blood or anything—life just takes everyone in different directions. They’re more like travel buddies, you know? You share the road for a while, and then all you’re left with are the memories.

Good times never last long, do they? Maybe that’s why happiness feels so precious.
