Lately I've been getting into chocobo racing, and wow—figuring out how to breed chocobos with good genes is no joke. I realized I need to learn about things like genetic meiosis and random pairing, and the concepts on the Praameters Panel and Pedigree Panel. At first, I kept confusing bloodline rank with race rank, and I even ended up retiring one of my chocobos way too early. She gave me this unhappy look over her shoulder, like she was blaming me for cutting her career short.
While I was resting in the lobby, Enatsu came over and said he had a gift for me (he always thinks of me whenever he finds something neat). Turns out it was a Figmental Weapon Coffer! Apparently, whichever job you open it with, you’ll get that job's weapon. The only way to get these right now is through treasure maps, and the drop rate is super low, so they’re crazy expensive on the market. Enatsu told me he and NuomiTuan actually found two during a treasure hunt, and he saved this one just to give to me. I was honestly so grateful. I said I’d need to check which jobs have the coolest-looking weapons, and Enatsu even sent me videos showing each one so I could compare.
My first thought was to pick something for my favourite job, Scholar. But Scholar weapons are basically just different covers of the same book, and no matter what, you're stuck holding a book. Other jobs get way more fun designs—like Dragoon's spear that looks like a cat toy, Machinist’s gun hidden in a bouquet of roses, or even Paladin, Sage, and Ninja weapons that look like kitchen cookware or a full set of cutlery.
In the end, I went with the Monk's weapon: boxing gloves shaped like sharks. They've got this adorable design with a blue back and a white belly, and honestly, they match perfectly with my sailor outfit.
